The
Strange Case of SQ006
Coming soon by the end of October is an
anniversary of the air crash SQ006. Urban legend however
spreads as a rumour that the horrible crash was due to a
paranormal force. An ex-SIA air stewardess was
cruely raped, killed, her naked body was cut up and
disposed in a closet. Therefore her unrest spirit was haunting
the flight. SPI analysed and totally debunked
it.

Photo from the Underworld
A Malaysian family was taking photos at a
Chinese cemetery in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, during a tomb
sweeping visit, and later discovered that one of the photos
contained many scary images, including a demon face. The
family had two theories that they had either offended the
spirits there, or that it was just a way the spirits were
trying to connect with them.

Timah
Haunted by old
memories of kampong lifestyle from the grandmother's days, SPI
Agent CatMeow vividly narrated every detail of rustic scenes
and strange happenings that we can hardly find nowadays. Of
course some extended to the aspects of paranormal, such as
sightings, legends and old wives' tales. SPI checked out the
old sites, where now left with only

A jetty near East Coast Park, infested by
anglers who called it Four Pipes, is suspected to be haunted
by nasty spirits. SPI Agent Koolad showed us a series of

eye balls rolled up in white, struggled with superhuman

A rumour circulating on the Internet
with photos that show a pair of ghost hand prints on a girl's
back. A big ghost and a small child ghost were trying to
push the girl in water, as told in the urban legend
email. It was said that her religion saved her from
death. The attempted murder by the ghosts failed but the
marks remained. Fact or fiction? SPI unfolds the

Neverland?
A Michael
Jackson's spirit was claimed to be found at Neverland. The
image was captured on CNN Live channel. Is it really Michael
or another hoax? Two groups of voices are debating aloud over

offered some logical explanation. You would be the judge to
tell facts or fictions.

Ghost caught on CCTV at CIMB Bank
A long haired female ghost in an eerie
white robe was said to be captured by CCTV camera. One version
says it is from a commercial bank in Malaysia, another version
says it is from Singapore General Hospital. While some people
believe it is real, calling it a pontianak, some dispute it
simply as a hoax. SPI analysed the video footage critically
and reveales the truth.

ill-luck because they are transformed from human souls. The
guilt is on par with killing your own ancestors. Such old

Sheares Bridge Built on Human
Heads
Urban legend has
it that children's heads were decapitated and used as
foundations for building the longest bridge in Singapore,
Shears Bridge. This gruesome tale may be based on old rituals
of head-hunters and shamanism for bribing the ghosts or
deities spirits to ensure safety of the construction. SPI
however collected facts and critically reasoned to debunk the
myth.

Marsiling Shrines
Clusters of secluded makeshift shrines lined
up along a quiet stretch of Marsiling Cresent. You can find
dozens if not hundred of deities idols of multi-religions. It
all started with a paranormal dream which called for the
housing of those idols. Many grassroot believers come for the
4D fortune rock. Lorry drivers came for prayers for safe
long-haul journeys to Malaysia.

Pontianak Hunt: Sembawang Ponitianak
Investigation
Sembawang
Park, a 15 hectare park, in the north of Singapore facing the
Straits of Johor overlooking Malaysia has a share of old
history. The park gets its name from Sembawang Tree Kayea
ferruginea. The pathways inside the park are old roads, that
have recently been repaved with asphalt. Thick rumours of
pontianak sightings however filled some ulu corners of the
park. Is Pontianak really residing there? SPI checked it
out.

Pontianak Research Series: Legend of
Pontianaks
Pontianak,
Kuntilanak, Matianak or Boentianak, is a type of vampire in
Malay folklore, similar to the Langsuir. Pontianak are women
who died during childbirth and became undead, seeking revenge
and terrorizing villages. Almost every old kampong has a tale
or two of her. Ironically, this horror icon becomes an hit
topic in town, that many people enjoyed talking about. Miss

Sembawang Park Haunting
The Sembawang park has many interesting
connections to Singapore's historical past. The park and its
surrounding areas are surrounded by sites where there was the
Kampong Wak Hassan, with old Malay Kampong houses and of
course with their inherited paranormal beliefs. At night, the
park has become a hotbed for spooky tales under the canopy of

Ghost in Imperial Hotel, Kushinagar,
India?
A dark
apparition was photographed in a hotel in India at night. When
the photo was taken, it was claimed that nobody was in front.
What is it? SPI analysed every detail. And found an amazing
conclusion which is quite unexpected. The story has just been
updated after Daniel has submitted another photo for the final

Lim
Chu Kang Monster
Yuiiko's relative (Mr. Leon Tan) has
encountered a monster at Lim Chu Kang, near the water skirt,
when they went night fishing on 08-08-08. With a pair of eerie
glowing red-eyes, the creature sent cold chill to their
spines. Telepathically the creature was warning them to stop
catching further fish and get off. Is this a paranormal

Park
Three spooky wind
chimes were hanging up on giant trees at Kampong Java Park.
For years, it wasn't known on how these wind whimes could
possibly be hung up high on the trees given right underneath
